It’s been a successful first year for trade only distributor, Rapid Renewables, based near London Heathrow Airport, which has achieved significant growth in its first 12 months of trading and quadrupled its staff, from the three founding directors to a team of 12.

Supplying renewable energy solutions to commercial and domestic installers, the company is a sister business to electrical wholesale distributor, Rapid Electrical, and is currently based at the same location in Colnbrook, comprising 10,000ft2 of warehousing and offices.

Operated by a senior management team with over 20 years of experience and knowledge within the renewable energy sector, Rapid Renewables’ focus is on supplying installers undertaking commercial and domestic solar PV and thermal upgrade projects across the UK.

Having its own fleet of vans and drivers, who are practised in handling fragile solar panels, means that the company can safely and swiftly deliver premium PV systems and associated products to site exactly on time. This minimises the time and cost for any required scaffolding or other platform access for the property.

Commenting on the first anniversary of the company he founded with co-shareholders, Dave Budd and Scott Grant, Nick Edwell, Director, Rapid Renewables, said: “Our decision to diversify our expertise into the renewable energy market has proven to be both a timely and exciting opportunity, as Rapid Renewables complements our long-standing electrical wholesale business very well.
