A: Starting with the visible features, we paid particular attention to the height and screen angles to ensure accessibility for everyone and complying with PAS 1899:2022. The Bollard’s side plates, and the wall unit’s full front cover offer interchangeable colour options and branding possibilities. Additionally, a sensor-controlled light-up infographics area and an amenity light option on the Bollard ensure usability at all times of day.
Internally, our true PEN fault detection eliminates the need for costly earth rods or other PEN fault devices upstream. Our loop in/loop out input connections accommodate up to 35mm cables, allowing daisy chaining of multiple EV chargers from a single supply cable. This reduces installation time and costs while maintaining correct overcurrent protection for each charge point. Payment terminal options enable tap-and-go control for easy use, and all units come with 4G as standard, ensuring reliable internet connectivity.

A: PAS 1899:2022 outlines guidelines for accessible electric vehicle charge points to meet the needs of individuals with diverse accessibility requirements. It covers physical environment, placement, information provision, and design. Q: What is the Sync EV Balancer?
A: The Sync EV Balancer is designed to ensure that the electricity supply is not exceeded by EV charging. When it comes to EV chargers, electrically you cannot allow for diversity, so a 32A charger needs to always use 32A. When you start adding 2,3,4 chargers this soon adds up and you can see your charging facilities outweigh your electric supply. This is where the Sync EV Balancer comes in – the Balancer is a hardwired system for reliability and requires no subscription, its scalable for up to 16 charge points (16 duals gives you 32 charging bays). It dynamically manages the available building power, distributing it evenly between the connected vehicles, and is available in both single-phase up to 120A and three-phase up to 400A.
