Electro-Wind boosts manufacturing capabilities

Due to a sustained period of growth over the past 18 months, Electro-Wind has expanded its manufacturing facilities.

Established in 1979, Electro-Wind has been designing and manufacturing single and three phase transformer products for customers in the UK, Europe and global markets over the past 40 years. As a second-generation family owned and operated company, over the past couple of years Electro-Wind has seen exponential growth, with both standard and custom-built products in high demand.

Electro-Wind’s existing 13,000ft2 manufacturing plant based in Tunstall, Staffordshire, was running at capacity and the company took the decision to expand its nearby Kidsgrove based site to create much-needed additional manufacturing floorspace.

Rachel Stanley-Cooper, Electro-Wind Director, commented: “Our investments in stock will not only ensure continuity of production but enable prices to be kept as consistent as possible.

“We have a very low staff turnover and many of the long-established team members have worked for the company for over the 20 years, however the business has expanded dramatically over the past few years with the addition of many new recruits.

“Our expanded manufacturing capabilities will help promote further company development and aid our long-term growth plans.”
