Scolmore announces a series of promotions and new areas of responsibilities at Director level, as well as the creation of a new role on the board.
At a pivotal time for the industry – with challenges faced from the digital revolution, as well changes in standards and legislation to guarantee safety – the restructure will strengthen the senior management team and allow them to focus their areas of expertise where they can make a difference to the future development of the company.
Scolmore Group Managing Director, Gary Mordue, Comments: “There has never been a more challenging time to be operating in the electrical industry. The fast pace of change that is being driven by advancing technology, the shortage of skilled labour, and more stringent regulations resulting from the Grenfell Tower fire, are all contributing to a more pressurised environment. It’s important that we have the right people and structure in place to be able to manage these challenges and future-proof the business for continued success.
