Lighting specialist donates over 50 luminaires to Be the Change Youth Project

Trilux Lighting has donated over 50 luminaires to the Be the Change Youth Project, an award-winning youth organisation based in Bolton. The luminaires have been installed in the charity’s new premises, ranging from exterior lighting to reception areas, counselling rooms, and general spaces.

The Be the Change Youth Project, known for its commitment to empowering young people and deterring them from engaging in gangs, recently caught the attention of Simon Dixon, Head of End User at Trilux Lighting. Simon, who also volunteers for the police force, recognised the vital role the charity plays in the community. Upon learning that the charity was seeking support for fitting out their new premises, Simon was eager to help, knowing firsthand the impact such initiatives can have on youth development and crime prevention.

Speaking about the donation, Daniel Sukula, Founder of the Be the Change Youth Project, stated: “We are incredibly grateful to Trilux Lighting for their generous donation. This support will not only help us create a welcoming and safe environment for the young people we serve but also enable us to expand our programs and activities to further our mission of promoting positive change within our community.”

Reflecting on TRILUX’s contribution, Simon Dixon remarked: “As someone who is deeply invested in both lighting innovation and community service, I am honoured that Trilux can play a part in supporting the Be the Change Youth Project. Lighting is not just about illumination; it can also symbolise hope and opportunity. We believe that by brightening the physical space of their new premises, we are contributing to the brighter futures of the young people they serve.”
