Armorduct is launching the UK’s first adjustable coupler for its modular cable management systems. It will give installers the flexibility to adapt their solution quickly when faced with unforeseen difficulties on site.

The coupler provides up to 100mm of adjustment for Armorduct’s cable tray, trunking and basket systems in all sizes and is available in pre-galvanised, MagnelisR and stainless steel.

Talking about the adjustable couplers, James Wood, national business development manager at Amorduct, said: “The whole point of having a modular system developed for an installation is to make installation simple and fast. But sometimes you will find that in reality you need to have a system that is flexible enough to adapt. It might be because there is an obstruction or perhaps a building is not quite square which can throw your measurements out by a few centimetres.

“If you then have to cut lengths of trunking or basket to size and then treat the cut ends to maintain its protection, you are defeating the whole purpose of having a modular fit and forget system.

“Our adjustable couplers give the installer that bit of flexibility to overcome such problems.  This simple solution will save a lot of time on site.”

Armorduct has joined the Electrical Distributors’ Association (EDA) as an affiliate manufacturer has also joined the EDATA data pool, where manufacturers share their product data with multiple wholesalers.

Armorduct has launched a new range of IP4X trunking that will prove faster and easier to install on site.

The company’s newly designed solution is manufactured in the UK using locally sourced steel making it a more environmentally friendly alternative for contractors when compared to other solutions.

The trunking is available off the shelf with all the accessories, fixtures and fittings supplied as fully assembled components for every order. The fixtures are all supplied with captive fittings and overlap covers, the latter to achieve the IP4X rating, to save time on site.

While the trunking is available in three metre lengths as standard, the company can also provide it cut to length for delivery to site to save installation time and waste. As it’s designed and manufactured in the UK the company can also quickly adapt bespoke trunking solutions to meet particular market needs and solutions.

The new IP4X trunking range is available in a wide range of different materials including pregalvanised steel, stainless steel, Magnelis/MagiZinc, powder coated, clear polyester coated and aluminium.
